What To Bring

LICENSE-TO-CARRY COURSES

First and foremost, you will need to be prepared for a full day of activity.  You do not want to travel all night or "party until the bars close" and plan on attending this class the next day.  You should dress appropriately for outdoor weather and bring shatterproof shooting glasses and earmuffs.  (These may be provided by prior arrangement.)  A cap is recommended, but not required.  You may want to bring rain gear as the range section of the course is run rain or shine.

You will need to bring two guns, a semi-automatic handgun and a revolver, one being the weapon that you intend to qualify with.  You will need a minimum of 65 rounds of ammunition for the weapon you intend to qualify with and a minimum of 5 rounds for the other gun, for a minimum of 70 rounds total.  (If you don't have one or both types of weapons, you can rent one or both from us; just call in advance to make arrangements.)  You also need a safe means to transport the weapon to the class, such as a gun case, gun rug, original box, or safe storage device.

When you come to the classroom (first section of the course), DO NOT bring the weapon in with you.  Do not bring a loaded weapon into the classroom or onto the firing range.  Keep the ammunition separate.  You will be told by a range officer when to load.  That is the only time you will have a loaded weapon.  Violation of any safety rules will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the class.

You will want to bring a pencil and notepad to take notes or write down questions you wish to discuss with an instructor during the breaks or after the class.

What Not To Bring:  Due to time and safety constraints, NO single-action revolvers or reload ammunition are allowed for the course.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED CCW COURSES

Bring a safe serviceable holster made for the gun you intend to use.  The holster must have the trigger covered when the gun is in the holster and the gun remain in place throughout strenuous movement.

If shooting a semi-auto pistol, bring a minimum of 3 magazines, and more is better.  If shooting a revolver, bring a minimum of 3 speedloaders.  You will also need a belt holder for your spare mags or speedloaders.

Plan on bringing approximately 600 rounds of ammunition to any Intermediate or Advanced Level Course.

You should also bring water or a hydration unit, hat, sunscreen, and clothing appropriate for all-day outdoor activity, along with hearing and eye protection.
